About Gray's Group
What does Gray's Group do?
Gray's Group offers you the opportunity to produce a state of the art, legal Will at a competitive cost in the comfort of your own home. Whether you are making your first Will or you need to update or upgrade an existing Will, Gray's Group can help.
We also provide other important services including Lasting Powers of Attorney, secure document storage and trust advice. We use trusts extensively, both in Wills and on their own, to reduce your liabilities to Inheritance Tax (IHT) and also to ring-fence your assets so that you have greater control over them.
Very Individual Wills
A Will from Gray's Group is designed specifically for the individual. A consultant will visit you at home to help you design a Will that's just right for you. That may turn out to be something very straightforward, or much more complex and sophisticated, but either way you can be confident that you have something that fits your individual situation perfectly.
How long?
Your Gray's Group visit usually takes between 40 and 90 minutes.
Usually, customers are able to give us all the information that we need at the meeting, but sometimes there can be issues that cannot be resolved on the night. In that case, we will usually follow up with a telephone call or further correspondence in order to complete the Wills.
Preparing for your Gray's Group Visit
We prefer that you don't prepare anything. Your consultant is there to guide you through all the relevant issues and it's not necessary for you to prepare any information in advance of the meeting.
You will be asked for a brief overview of the value of your assets and liabilities because it's necessary for us to have a basic understanding of the extent of your estate, but it's not necessary to have highly accurate figures. Usually, your best estimate will be perfectly sufficient.
You will also be asked to provide names and addresses for anybody who will be mentioned in your Will, so it can be helpful if you have access to that information. But that can be supplied after the initial meeting if it isn't readily to hand at the time.
The one thing that can be helpful to think about, if you have young children, is who would look after them if the worst happened to you. Again, your consultant will be able to give you some insight into the role a Legal Guardian plays, but he wont know about the character of the people you might have in mind.
Storage
Many customers choose to store their wills with us once they have been signed, witnessed and completed. Even if you decide not to do so, we will retain an electronic copy of your will so that we can update or change it for you when you need to. Our storage facility is by far the most comprehensive that we have come across and also one of the cheapest. We also have a commitment to keep clients up to date with any changes in the law which may affect their written will.
When you use Gray's Group's storage service you can be virtually certain that you will never have to pay to update your Wills and you can encourage your children and grandchildren to get off on the right foot because we will prepare Wills for them without charge.
